WHAT IS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM?

The immune system is a perfect defense system that protects the body against germs through the interaction and cooperation of various cells and proteins. All cells of the immune system develop from a common stem cell in the bone marrow and these cells, together with proteins, are distributed throughout the body.
The main task of the immune system is to protect the body against foreign disease-causing germs and at the same time to destroy cells in the body that have reached the end of their life and are damaged.
In doing so, the immune system recognizes foreign molecules entering the body and separates them from its own tissues. It fights against and destroys foreign structures while protecting its own.
